Counselling

Counselling provides assistance with different areas of life’s challenges:
- Relationships including family, marriage and divorce, singles
- Grief, anger, addictions, and suicide
- Trauma including domestic violence, stalking, experiences of war, assault, death threats, transition, and others
- Psychiatric disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and more.
Each session lasts one hour and is held in a private room at Southern Cross Centre. Privacy and confidentiality will be maintained at the highest professional level. There will be no release of information unless consent is given by the client prior to the request. Only the counsellor has access to your file. If the counsellor requires supervision they must have your consent. Your name will be protected and confidentiality will be maintained.
There is a financial commitment, and the fee structure will be explained prior to the first intake session. Payment is required on the day. For cancellation of an appointment, 24 hours notice is required by contacting the church office and a cancellation fee for that session may occur.
If you need counselling or would like to ask any further questions, please contact Jody Pike at counselling@southerncrosscentre.org.au
You can also fill in the LifeCare Assistance Request Form. You will then be contacted to arrange a suitable time
“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
– Isaiah 61:1
