Southern Cross Centre - Monthly Update
Welcome to September’s Update! We are thankful for all of you who continue to connect with us online and in-person on Sunday mornings and during the week at various gatherings. Although we are still under some Covid-19 restrictions we are sure you will agree that we are blessed to live in this wonderful part of the world.
Let us continue to pray for our nation and in particular the government as they continue to navigate this season. Let’s also commit to praying for our youth and their leaders as they go on camp at the end of this month.
Please see below for the important updates for September:
Preaching through the Parables

Mission Sunday Kenya - 13 September
The 13 September is Mission Sunday to help support the work of the Kingdom in Kenya. Please come ready to sow generously into what the Lord is doing there. You can also give online through our website by clicking here!
Busy Bee (AKA Sausage Sizzle Saturday) - 19 September
Please mark your diaries for the church Busy Bee on 19 September from 9 am to 12 noon. Please BYO gloves and gardening tools. This is a great opportunity to connect and build community and relationship, while taking care of our beautiful church home. There will be a free sausage sizzle for all who come.
Men With A Purpose - 23 September
Join us at Balga on Wednesday 23 September at 7 pm, as we continue with our encouraging video and discussion series on The 4 Voices! Keep an eye on the MWAP Whatsapp group for more updates. Ask Anthony or Dave to add you if you aren't connected. Tea, coffee and cookies will be provided and there is no cost! See you there!
SCAC Youth Camp - 28 September to 2 October
Do you have children or grandchildren in years 7 to 12? The Southern Cross Youth Camp will be held at the Nanga Bush Camp in Dwellingup from 28 September to 2 October during the school holidays. Click here for more info and the application form.
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Love & Blessings,
Anthony & Fiona Schopf and The Leadership Team
